I argued with someone in YT comments section the other day over the origin of "Amen." He said that Christians who say it in God's name were not actually saying it in God's name but in some some Egyptian God's name Amen Ra. Apparently theres a whole conspiracy theory about it being adopted by Jews during their enslavement or whatever but its very strange. Every site I looked at that supported the theory was very biased and blatantly had an agenda behind it. I initially dismissed it as some atheist trying to sow seeds but eventually I did some research on the etymology of the word and I found that in the Talmud 119b, it says that it is an acronym of "El Melekh ne’eman" or God Faithful King. My question is, are either of these the origins for the word or is it something else?
