Abel
Abel, was one of the sons of Adam and Eve, being the first human to be killed, by his older brother Cain.
Biography
Abel, a child of Adam and Eve, was born some time after Cain[1]. Due the sin caused by his parents, manual labor was required[2], therefore Abel had his share of labor which was to tend the flocks[3]. Both Cain and Abel made a sacrifice to Yahweh, from their respective area of labor. Cain offered some leftover fruits, rather Abel sacrificed a larger and higher quality animal from the livestock, being of the firstborn[4]. Yahweh accepted Abel's offering, but did not Cain, so in anger Cain took Abel to the field and assassinated him[5].
