What is an Administrator?

An Administrator are Users communally, peer, or bureaucratically selected and or elected that are granted access to extra technical and authoritative powers. Administrators are in charge of enforcing guidelines and [[Category:Policy|Policy on the site. Administrators are also in charge of dealing with vandalism, and users interfering or harming the workflow of the wiki. An Administrator will also be responsible for overall community health, and interacts with Wikia Community support. Technically or tools wise Administrators are granted the following additional privileges to the interface

• Delete unnecessary pages such as spam and duplicates, and remove templates, and multimedia files such as images; undelete pages that are needed or temporarily needed
• Protect and semi-protect articles that are involved in editing disputes, constant spam, or controversial topics (in order to avoid offensive edits)
• Block and ban users and automated scripts, that intentionally post spam, and vandalism in order to disrupt wiki
• Rollback (undo all edits of a single user on a page), and undo spam or vandal edits more efficiently
• Access to MediaWiki namespace (semi-limited access to core interface and software features), and semi-limited access to certain pages in the Special: namespace

Administrators also hold office of several communal and authoritative powers beyond the standard user. Responsibilities in a communal or authoritative manner include:

• Enforce site policies and rules
• Promote a friendly environment, and keep content appropriate and safe
• Work hand-in-hand with Wikia Staff, VSTF, Helpers and other official groups to deal with issues such as severe vandalism, technical issues, and legal processes
• Promote the site via SEO, Social Media, and other means
• Head meetings, discussion, and polls concerning new policies and site changes

• Kathleen.wright5 Administrator since January 20th 2012, with over 751 edits, and may be contacted via her message wall
• BiblicalapediaBot an Administrator and Bot since March 8th 2013 and has served 488 edits as a bot, and is operated by Superdadsuper
