Cornelius was a Roman Centurion, leading a hundred men in the Italian Regiment. Cornelius was very devout Christian, and was very generous and kind to the needy. One day he received a vision from an Angel of God, commanding him to bring a man named Simon Peter, who lived in Joppa. After this Cornelius summoned two servants and a soldier and sent them to retrieve Peter.
Peter as well received a vision from God and was prompted to go with the men (sent from Cornelius) awaiting him. The next day Peter traveled with the men, arriving at Cornelius's house, who had gathered guest for Peter's arrival. As Peter arrived Cornelius bowed in respect, leaving Peter to reply he was only a human being. Then Cornelius and Peter discussed, their visions and their beliefs of Jesus and God.
