Korah is found in the Old Testament

Korah was a man who conspired with Dathan and Abiram against Moses and Aaron as recorded in the book of Numbers. He was a son of Izhar, who was a son of Kohath, who was a son of Levi.

Korah led this rebellion which took part after God instructed Moses to tell the people of Israel to wear tassels as a reminder to his commandments. Korah, Dathan, and Abiram proceeded to take up a large group of people to overthrow Moses, which included many notable individuals in the community. However, Moses tells Korah and the rest that they will be see who God chooses in the morning after the rebellion. When Korah, as well as Dathan and Abiram, in addition to their respective families, are swallowed up by the earth, Moses confirms that he has been chosen by God.
