Michael is an Archangel of God, and the Leader of the Army of Heaven.

Etymology[]

The name Michael comes from the Hebrew מִיכָאֵל (transliterated: mı̂ykâ'êl) and means "Who is like God?". מִיכָאֵל comes from three Hebrew words: מִי (transliterated: mı̂y, meaning "Who"), כִּי (transliterated: kı̂y, meaning "like"), and אֵל (transliterated: 'êl, meaning "God").

Biography[]

Archangel Michael is the leader of the Armies of Heaven who are in charge of protecting the nation of Israel, and conducting warfare against the Kingdom of Darkness lead by Satan. Archangel Michael is first mentioned in the Old Testament Book of Daniel as having assisted Archangel Gabriel in defeating the Prince of Persia, and the Prince of Greece allowing him to deliver his message to the prophet Daniel. He is described as the Prince of Israel who is in charge of defending it, and keeping the nation safe. In the New Testament Michael appears in the Book of Revelation leading the battle against Satan, and his forces in the Second Heaven.
