Nimrod, was the son of Cush (and therefore a Hamite, descending from Noah's son Ham) and was a mighty warrior[1] and a hunter on Earth[2]. Nimrod was the king of a united humanity, at the time of the construction of the Tower of Babel and the city of Babel, later to become the city of Babylon. Aside from ruling over Babylon, he also started and ruled the cities of Uruk, Akkad, and Calneh, in just Shinar alone[3]. He then later went to founded many cities in which would become the nation of Assyria, including Nineveh, Rehoboth Ir, Calah[4] and Resen[5]. This eventually gave Nimrod enough reputation for the prophet Micah in in his book, to call the nation of Assyria the "land of Nimrod"[6].
